Character
Profile: Michaelangelo is the fun-loving and humorous one
of the bunch. But, Mikey is much more than a barrel of laughs.
This turtle is perhaps the most human of all mutants. He
is a trusting, good-natured person who would do anything
to help his brothers and anyone who may be in trouble. Mikey
is a great poet who can come up with many a profound lyric.
From Japanese Haikus to "Roses are red, violets are
blue's," he can make you think with the most subtle
of words. Like everyone, Mikey has a few personal flaws
that have caused him anguish in some form or another. He
can be a poor judge of character at times, and his clumsiness
can land him in close brushes with death. He is good with
children, knows his way around the kitchen, and delights
himself in solitude of the New York sewer system. Here,
Mikey can relax, practice his martial arts, skate the pipes,
and even get a pizza delivered! In the past Mikey's emotions
have seemed to get the better of him, making him think he
was weak; thus lowering his self-esteem. However, Mikey
has recently been able to guide his emotions, and work them
to make him a stronger and more stable individual. His level
of self worth has gone sky-rocketing, and Mikey actually
is the clown laughing both inside and out!
Technical
Information: Michaelangelo was technically, the first "ninja
turtle" to be created. The first sketch, drawn by Kevin
Eastman, was of a turtle wearing a bandanna with a pair
of nunchukus strapped to his arms. Also, there has been
some question on the spelling of Michaelangelo. Many kow
that the Italian painter's name was spelled Michelangelo,
but more often than not, I have seen this turtle's name
spelled Michaelangelo.

The views and opinions expressed here are all mine, and
should not be taken as actual fact. These statistics are
based largely on the TMNT Archie Adventure Series. I do
consider all TMNT publications to be equally factual. This
includes the Archie, Mirage, Image, Wolf Productions, and
even the Pizza Hut sponsored singing Ninja Turtles.
